Arrival to Murmansk

Meeting with your guide at the airport

Excursion to The Saami Village. The Saami nomadic people were the main ethnic group, living on the territory of Kola Peninsula. We are going to visit the local heritage center that preserved the culture and traditions of Saami, situated on Lovozero Lake 170 km from the airport. Reindeer breeding and cod and salmon fishing were always the main source of income for Saami people. Let’s meet and feed reindeer and friendly northern dogs Husky, try traditional fish soup, play some traditional Saami games and have deer-drawn sledge ride!

Transfer to Kirovsk, a town at the root of Khibini Mountains.

Hunting The Nothern Lights. At night we are going to search for the Northern lights. Their appearance depends on solar activity and current weather. The evening air should be frosty and the sky clear. The Aurora season lasts from the end of September up until the end of March, and it usually appears from 9 p.m. to midnight.

Excursion to The Show Village. It is an amazing town made of snow. Every year the creation of Snow village unites the most prominent snow artists of Russia. There are houses, bars, figures, art objects, slopes and even a Wedding Palace – all are made of snow and decorated according to particularly selected theme. One can also try snow tubing and air-banana ride by the snow mobile.

After having fun in the Snow village, we will have a 1,5 hour snowmobile tour in a valley.

Kirovsk city tour will give you an idea of how people live so far in the north. A visit to a museum center Apatit where you will learn all about the developed industry of the region.

City tour. Murmansk is often called gates to the Arctic and still is a very important Russian port. From Murmansk starts the Northern Sea Route to Bering Strait. During the city tour you will visit the famous soviet nuclear icebreaker Lenin and the museum of Northern fleet.
