Baikal Lake is one of the most amazing destinations in Russia and was added to the World Heritage list by UNESCO in 1996. It is situated in the center of Asia and one of the most ancient lakes on the planet, 455 meters above sea level. In the deepest place the Bai¬kal reaches 1620 meters - against the island of Olkhon which is in some 8-10 km from the shore. The flight time from Moscow till Irkutsk (one of the cities near Baikal) is about 6 hours and from Saint Petersburg till Irkutsk it about 8 hours.

Breakfast, meeting a guide and departure for Lake Baikal. An hour later we are in Listvianka that is the nearest to Irkutsk settlement located on the shore of the lake. On the way - visit the ethnographical museum of wooden architecture "Taltsi". The museum complex on the shore of the Angara river is a unique opportunity for direct acquaintance with the material and spiritual culture of the Baikal peo-ples. The museum represents a village of Russian settlers, Evenki and Tofalars yurts, a Buryat commu-nity. Lunch – we taste Baikal fish. Later a chairlift brings us to "Chersky Stone" observation area where you take gorgeous panorama pictures of the Baikal.
