Baikal Lake is one of the most amazing destinations in Russia and was added to the World Heritage list by UNESCO in 1996. It is situated in the center of Asia and one of the most ancient lakes on the planet, 455 meters above sea level. In the deepest place the Bai¬kal reaches 1620 meters - against the island of Olkhon which is in some 8-10 km from the shore. The flight time from Moscow till Irkutsk (one of the cities near Baikal) is about 6 hours and from Saint Petersburg till Irkutsk it about 8 hours.

Arrival to Irkutsk. Meeting at the station or at the airport, transfer to the hotel and check-in.

After having a rest – three-hour Irkutsk city tour.

Irkutsk has always been a commercial city. The city has preserved many monuments of wooden archi-tecture and magnificent Orthodox churches. After the tour you can return to the hotel or stroll around the city on your own – the tour ends at the historical 130-th Quarter with lots of cafes, restaurants and shops.

Breakfast, meeting a guide and departure for Lake Baikal. An hour later we are in Listvianka that is the nearest to Irkutsk settlement located on the shore of the lake. On the way - visit the ethnographical museum of wooden architecture "Taltsi". The museum complex on the shore of the Angara river is a unique opportunity for direct acquaintance with the material and spiritual culture of the Baikal peo-ples. The museum represents a village of Russian settlers, Evenki and Tofalars yurts, a Buryat commu-nity. Lunch – we taste Baikal fish. Later a chairlift brings us to "Chersky Stone" observation area where you take gorgeous panorama pictures of the Baikal.

Check in hotel in Listvianka. Free time.

Departure for Peschanaya Bay by hover craft "Hivus” over amazingly beautiful ice of Lake Baikal. We passunique and beautiful places, overcome massive ice hummocks. "Hivus" is designed to give warmth and safety inside, and the speed is allowed to feel flying over Lake Baikal ice. At the stop – we are go-ing to have an interesting ceremony, “a kiss to Lake Baikal”. The ice, cleaned by the wind from snow, is so transparent that you can feel thrill from the abyssal lake depths under your feet – tens or even hundreds of meters deep.

Upon arrival at Peschanaya Bay – picnic-lunch. We walk to the Rock of Observation, Malaya Kolokolnya (Small Bell-tower) Rock, and visit an area with bizarre stilted trees.

Return to Listvianka village and departure for Irkutsk.

Arrival in Irkutsk, check in hotel.

Departure for Olkhon Island.

Olkhon is the largest of 26 islands on Lake Baikal. It is called the "heart of Baikal". It is the geographical, historical and sacral center of the lake. Here, according to local legend, the Buryat people appeared and the first Buryat shaman received his shamanic talent. Olkhon is tremendously rich in local originali-ty, shamanism, ancient Buryat legends and beautiful views of the lake. We recommend you to visit Cape Burkhan and Shamanka Rock.

Check In lodge upon arrival. Dinner - at lodge.

You take a tour to the northern extremity of Olkhon – Cape Khoboy (6 hours). On the tour you enjoy the magnificent Baikal views, listen to ancient Buryat legends and visit some places of shamanic power. Dinner - at lodge.

Farewell to the island, return to Irkutsk. Check in hotel. Free time.
